Appointed non-executive Director of ArcelorMittal South Africa on 11 May 2007. Chairs the Safety, Health and Environment committee. Previously Chief Executive of Haggie Group until 2004. Active for the Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of South Africa (SEIFSA).

Appointed non-executive director on 1 February 2007. Chairs the Human Resources and Nominations committee. Director of companies, including South African Reserve Bank, Impala Platinum, Western Areas, Toyota SA and  Reunert.




Malcolm  MacDonald (59) Director

Appointed non-executive Director of ArcelorMittal South Africa on 5 February 2010. Between 1997 ? 2004 Macdonald was the Financial Director of Iscor, ArcelorMittal South Africa?s predecessor, and currently serves as a non-executive director and chairman of audit committees on the boards of Astral Foods, GijimaAST and Coris Capital.

Executive Vice President, Finance & Corporate Treasurer for Mittal Steel Company N.V. Appointed non-executive Director of ArcelorMittal South Africa in November 2002.



Christophe  Cornier (57) Director

MSc (Ecole Polytechnique), MSc (Ecole des Mines).

Appointed non-executive director on 14 May 2008. Senior executive vice-president and member of the ArcelorMittal Group Management Board responsible for Africa, Asia and India, steel greenfields projects, equipment manufacturing and investments & allocations. He is also ArcelorMittal Group's Chief Technology Officer.

Appointed as CEO and a member of the board with effect from 1 March 2008. She was previously Chief Officer, Mergers & Acquisitions, at the Vodacom Group and prior to joining Vodacom, she had served as CEO of Alliance Capital Management and Chairman of Alliance Capital Namibia. Director of companies, including Macsteel International, Kalagadi Manganese and Arivia.kom.

Joined ArcelorMittal South Africa in 1990. Appointed General Manager, Corporate Finance and Treasury, in 2003 and General Manager, Corporate Treasury, at Mittal Steel Company N.V. in 2004. Appointed Executive Director Finance at ArcelorMittal South Africa in February 2006.



Sunil Kumar (44) Chief Marketing Officer

B.Tech(Hons) in Manufacturing Science and Technology(Indian Institute of Technology,Kharagpur,India).Post graduate diploma in International Trade(Indian Institute of Foreign Trade,New Delhi India.).

Joined the Group in 2001 as Product Manager.Flat Products of the marketing arm of Mittal Steel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.He became General Manager,Sales & Marketing at the Company's China Represenative Office in Beijing in 2004 and moved to Marocco in April 2007 as Managing Director of Arceloer Mmittal International in Casablanca.

Joined ArcelorMittal South Africa in 1977. Held various line positions at Newcastle Works and Vanderbijlpark Works. Appointed General Manager, Saldanha Steel, in April 2002 and company COO in September 2006.



Jean-Jacques Aernout (42) Chief Technology Officer

Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics(University of Science and Technology,Lille,France).

Joined the Dunkirk Plant in 1986 as an R&D engineer. Since 1990 has held various positions with in the Sales Department for the Technical Support Field. In 2000 he was appointed Product Policy and Services Director for the whole industry market.Following the Arcelor merger he took responsibility for the Innovation Platform department in Product R&D From 2005-2007 he worked within Downstream Corporate of Flat Carbon Europe in Luxemburg.



Rajendra Joshi (59) General Manager: Procurement & Logistics

BEng (Mech), MBA.

Joined ArcelorMittal South Africa in December 2007. Joined the Arcelor Mittal Group in August 1997 at the Trinidad and Tobago unit and later transferred to the Romanian unit in November 2003 as Director, Materials. He joined South African region in December 2007. Prior to joining the ArcelorMittal Group he worked at various steel operations in India, including the Vizag steel plant from 1982 to 1997.



Themba Nkosi (36) General Manager: Human Resources

BA Hons (Employment Relations).

Joined ArcelorMittal South Africa on 1 July 2009. Previously he was the Vice-President of Human Capital at Lonmin and prior to that had spent about 10 years with the sub-Saharan African division of retail group Pepsico International, operating in South Africa under the Simba brand. The last three years he was Pepsico?s Human Resources Director, sub-Saharan Africa.

 



Heinrich Kriel (43) General Manager: Vanderbijlpark Works

Joined ArcelorMittal South Africa in 1992. Held various management positions at Vanderbijlpark Works. Appointed as General Manager,Saldanha Works, on 15 September 2006 and returned to Vanderbijlpark in 2009 to take up the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer of Arcelor Mittal South Africa. Appointed General Manager,VanderbijlPark Works from 1 March 2010.

Joined ArcelorMittal South Africa in 1985.  Held various managerial positions at Vereeniging Works and Newcastle Works. Appointed General Manager, Vereeniging Works, in September 2006.



Marius Fischer (59) General Manager: Saldanha Works

BSc Eng (Hons), MDP.

Joined ArcelorMittal South Africa in July 2008 as General Manager, Vanderbijlpark Works. Previously General Manager, Sappi Forest Products, since 2002. Worked for 29 years at Iscor and Saldanha Steel, where he held senior management positions, before joining Sappi.



Alph Ngapo (46) General Manager: Vereeniging Works

BCompt/CTA (Hons), Diploma in Accountancy ? IAC, MDP (Darden), MDP (Wits University).

Appointed General Manager, Coke & Chemicals, in December 2006. Previously Divisional Manager, Finance, for Coke & Chemicals. Joined ArcelorMittal South Africa in 2003 from Nampak, where he was Finance Director, Nampak Glass.



Funani Mojono (41) General Manager: Coke & Chemicals

B Eng (Chemical), MDP (University of Pretoria and Manchester Business School respectively)

Previously Managing Director of Collect-a-Can. Other experience include Business Manager at ArcelorMittal Vanderbijlpark Works Foundry, Deloitte Consulting and Bentley West Strategic Consultants as business improvement specialist.

Joined ArcelorMittal South Africa in 1989. Since then appointed in different positions as Engineer at Vanderbijlpark and Vereeniging Works. Previously Manager Strategy and Business Unit Improvement Tubular Products.

Joined Iscor in September 1990 as internal auditor working for the company's head office. With the exception of a brief stint at Absa as Manager, Group Finance, in 1998/99, he has held a number of senior management positions in the finance portfolio at ArcelorMittal South Africa. Appointed General Manager, Company Controlling, in 2005. 



Mlawuli Manjingolo (42) Head of Legal, Compliance & Company Secretarial Services

BA Law and LLB (UCT) PMB (Harvard).

Joined ArcelorMittal South Africa in February 2010 from Afrox where he was General Legal Counsel and Company Secretary. Prior to that he served in various legal roles at PetroSA ? and before that Mossgas ? for over 10 years.



Siegfried  Spänig (45) Group Manager: Information Manager

Bsc(Chemistry),HED,MDP. Joined Iscor in 1996 to oversee environmental management at Saldanha Steel during the start-up and early phase of the plant.Appointed in 2006 as Manager,Environment,within the corporate Safety,Health and Environment department.Was appointed as Group Manager,Environment,in2008.



Bram Schreuder (44) Group Manager: Information Manager

Bsc(Computer Science and Operations Research),MAP. Joined ArcelorMittal South Africa in 1987 in the automation department.Held various management position and part of the Saldanha Steel greenfield project team.He was appointed as Group Manager,Information Management,in 2008



Adinda Louw (41) Group Manager: Internal Assurance

BCom Accounting (Potchefstroom University), MAP (Wits), EDP (Kellogg), MBA (North West University).

Joined ArcelorMittal South Africa in August 1993. She has held a number of managerial positions before being appointed as Group Manager, Internal Assurance, in 2008. Completed her articles at KPMG.
